    Hi all,

Have just bought a 2009 Audi A5 SE coupe 2.0 TDI. Unfortunately it did not come with the bluetooth telephone connectivity installed in the MMI. Is there any way I can add this functionality to the current set up as I'd love to be able to connect my phone.

I'm not 100% sure which MMI system or version it is, other than Audi Concert. There is no DAB or sat nav and is pretty much just the basic interface. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Phil

Thanks, is this something I could do myself or is it better to ask a garage? I like the yes part of your answer, but i have to admit, the rest of it still leaves me scratching my head as i have no clue whatsoever about this sort of stuff

I was in the same situation about some years ago

So, well, as I'm not a professional, I asked for help from a known tuning garage. They installed the system in about two-three hours. The Telephone system has two main HW parts, the module in itself, which needs to be installed into the MMI system, and there is a cabling for the aerial. In a retrofit case, you can install the GSM adapter under the trunk lid, so you don't need to bother the car's roof. Afther the HW installation, there is a minor time needed for the software installation. By this, I don't suggest to try it by yourself.
