First of all hi new member and first post

I have done a search but now nothing matches

i have a 51 plate a4 estate 1.9 tdi 200k miles (pulled a lot better than my 59 avant did) it had a remap when I bought it few months ago.
a week ago noticed it started to smoke which only got worse so I left it at the garage who couldn't diagnose as its been remapped?
so I picked it up and the turbo blew on the way home replaced it yesterday with a brand new one ran fine for 30 mins and now the engine just locks with diesel I remove the glow plugs starts again for 30 seconds and does the same

the temp gauge is stuck at 70 even with the key out and I've put a new temp sensor in?

i know the cars not worth it but we're having a baby in a few weeks and can't afford a new car

    any help is appriciated
    thanks

so one of your injectors is stuck open. remove the glow plugs, crank it over and see which one squirts out copious amounts of diesel, and replace that injector. it will then be fine as long as no other injectors are broke and you havn't bent a rod when it hydrauliced itself.

well that powers the injectors to allow them to fire. if diesel still squirts out with that plug undone then it must be an injector fault. however, if no diesel squirts out then the blame must lie at the ecu which is powering the injectors when it shouldnt. however this is not a fault i have come across on a pd engine but have seen it on a td5 landy, which uses the same sort of injectors, but eys, to have 3 fail would be unheard of, which is why an electrical problem may be the culprit.

I'm waiting for the barttery to charge back up but noticed the temp gauge is now stuck on max and hasn't ran? Unplugged the loom and once oil stopped coming out of cyl 3 made no difference plugged or unplugged
