Hi, I have bought a mk4 golf pd150 arl engine, It doesn't seem to be all there if you why I mean, torque wise my last golf mk4 was a PD100 atd engine an it seems like it was far more torque an more throttle response than the PD150, I haven't found any boost leaks or anything an it's showing to fault codes, can anyone help me out thanks?

arl should spin the wheels in 3rd gear. could need a new amm but the arl is prone to also wearing the cam out, so best to check your lobes first.

air mass meter, or airflow meter. lobes, cam lobes, lobes on the cam, the pointy bits that operate the valves and the injectors, the bits that wear out on the cam.

If the cam lobes were worn would it not be running rough? Had it on dash command earlier, maf is reading 9.6 wen idle an up to 11.5 when acceleration, map was reading 75inMg at idle and acceleration,

so the map doesnt change, so either its not boosting or it is and the map is not working. and with worn lobes it can run as per normal but down on power.

The car is boosting jus not as it should in the lower rpm, as u said it should spin the wheels in 2nd and 3rd but the torque jus doesn't seem to be there for it, I'll get the sensors changed to start with an see if it helps,
