TV Tuner - Retrofit

I have finally finished my first retrofit of installing the TV Tuner into my Q7 4M. Took about 6 hours in total spread over 3 weekends and a quick trip to the dealer to remove some security protection.

Suffice to say it's working great, full EPG and I have an Amazon fire stick connected as a second AV source using the car wifi to stream.

I would say about £400-450 mark if you can find the parts second hand and a decent cost. Forget buying them direct from dealer... Your into thousands if you go that route.

Love the fire tv as a source. Would be great with kodi on it to stream all the latest stuff for the wife on a long journey.

That's pretty impressive. Can you have a NAS or WiFi Harddisk and stream from those via Kodi?

I'm not an expert on kodi but if you can power it in the car then in theory anything will work

I run Kodi on the Amazon firestick so should work fine.

Hey max. If I remove VIM then yes but I deliberately haven't removed it yet as we are trying to figure what changes need to be made to do it. Odbeleven and vcp can both remove VIM but don't tell you how they are doing it. That's what we are trying to figure.

But yes, if Vim removed then any video source will work while car is moving
