Auto folding mirrrors new 2016 A6

Just picked up my new A7 and found that even though it doesn't have folding mirrors or tech pack, the locking function option is missing from the Central Locking menu.

So it's not just the A6 affected then?

Fortunately, the master tech at Derby Audi was able to manually change the keys to allow a single key press to unlock all doors. They are aware of this issue but cannot say when the mmi fix is going to be available.

Yep
Got the car in yesterday but though I was told there was a software update there actually isn't so they coded the mirrors manually for me which I'm happy with. No option in the MMI to turn it off and the dager of freezing is valid but the way I see it is if they burn out, Audi will have to replace under warranty and as that lasts 3 years I would hope an update is available before then. probably will have traded in anyway!

Just one note though, it appears the spare key has to be coded separately or at least did on mine so if you're doing it, take both keys.

H All. Just an update as my dealer rang me and said the software update is ready and it is booked in for this Thursday. I'll let you use now if it works Thanks

i'd be interested to know if that's a full update or just a manual code insert like mine.

Just picked car up and the update worked fine so all menu items now showing. Chief technician said it was the first they had done and also updated other things such as Bluetooth. Took them 5 months so just as well it worked! Preston Audi have been brilliant and the fact that mine was one of the first to be updated says it all.

That's interesting and good news, I'll be speaking to my dealer after the holidays. When was your car registered and is it a 2016 or 2017 model? Mine is 2017 registered end June.

I love the car but find the MMI very slow compared to my previous A4 which had HDD option. The music tracks have frozen a couple of times as well but frees up when I forward to the next song. I thought it might be the SD card so bought a new faster one but still the same. Sat nav is a bit slow as well. My 2011 A6 had the SD standard and I don't remember it being as slow.

Can you post a picture of the MMI Version screen as this may help other users with the issue, and also what version number they should expect to see on their MMI after the update.
