After a massive uphill struggle I finally took delivery of my new Q7 yesterday, its been like trying to buy a car off the chuckle brothers but, now I have it I'm blown away with the thing. Still have not got my head around most of the gizmo's but I already have a few queries that you good people may be able to help with.
Can I permanently disable the annoying stop start?
How do I turn the heated screen on?
How can I make the virtual cockpit remain on sat nav instead of reverting back to the black display everytime I start?

    Thanks in advance

Stop start has a button on the dash in the row to your left. The heated screen is a button on the climate control unit.
Re sat nav don't think so but don't quote me.

I found the stop start button but it turns itself back on every time I start the car, still looking for the heated screen button, manual says it is automatic depending on temperature but you can override it

I haven't got mine yet so not 100% but I think the start stop function is in the MMI menu. On my current A6 I have my key set to have start stop off all of the time but my wife's is on. Possibly also a function for dash layout as again my layout with my key is different to the wife's.

Send some photos of the car. I'm getting excited hearing of all of these collections. Mine's due end of the month.

Start stop can't be permanently disabled. I don't find it that bad to be honest as I just pull it into sport mode if I'm pulling up and don't want the engine to cut out.

Heated screen manages itself depending on temp but I think you can hold down the button to force it on.

I only got my car in May so not had he opportunity to test yet. Here's a video on YouTube showing how good it works though ! Audi Q7 G2 Heated Windscreen Feature - YouTube

Anyone else finding the lack of storage to be an issue? Compared to my old model Q7 there seems to be hardly any, and there is nowhere to store my sunglasses! Still loving the thing tho

It was mentioned before I got mine so I got some clips which slide onto the sun visor, not the best way of doing things but it works.

Seems a step backwards to me.

Put a few miles on it the last couple of days, the active lane assist takes some getting used to but its worth it to freak the wife out at 100 mph with no hands on the wheel. The cruse control thingy is amazing and I thought it would be hard to use but just push the button when your at your chosen distance from the vehicle in front and it just maintains that gap, speeding up and slowing down to maintain it.

Start / stop can be disabled permanently via coding. I think I have it but testing it doesn't have any repercussions.

Changing default start screen from 'red' one, working on that too. Keep an eye on coding thread.
