Hi folks,

Trying to get a diagnosis on whether my 10yr old A4 2.0 TDI 140 (145k miles) has a failing Dual Mass Flywheel.

Over the past couple of weeks Ive noticed a kind of whirring noise whenever I reach the biting point of the clutch. Its noticeable in most gears but especially when changing into 2nd and just allowing the engine revs pull the car along with no throttle applied.

Ive got no clutch slip when trying to pull away in 1st with the handbrake on so wondered if its the DMF?
If anyone has experienced this or has any advice it would be appreciated.
