Can anyone suggest a good method of adjusting one of the nozzles for the screen washer jets please?

As most of you know they are located on the underside of the rope edge of the bonnet lid and not the easiest to get to.

At the moment one of them is spraying the middle of the road rather than my windscreen.

    Thanks

    Hi pal,

You will have to open your bonnet and remove the washer jet from the bonnet.

It is simple to do and will prise off with a flat head screw driver.

Once removed there is a small torx screw which you turn to adjust.

Be careful and make sure you use the correct screw driver as they round off pretty easy as the screw is soft plastic.

Sounds like fun. I'll have a proper look tonight when I get home.

    Thanks

I just stick a pin in the hole and move it round, a bit hit and miss and very small movements make for big adjustments but has always worked for me.....perhaps I'm missing something!

Yeah that's the normal way of doing it if they are on top of the bonnet lid on most cars, but as it located under the bonnet it is much harder to get to to, least adjust with a pin because the edge of the bonnet lid reduces access, as does the wiper arm.

I did mine last week and used a medium sized safety pin, bent open a bit so I had the reach, took about 10 mins to have them all set where I wanted them

Might be easier if you drop into the MMI and put the wiper blades in "servicing mode" so they are parked up on the windscreen rather than in their bunker....

Or when you turn off the ignition press the wiper stalk down once to activate the service position
