Looking to spec sports seats, so am not sure whether to go milano, alcantra or pay for the valcona ?

Anyone familiar with all 3 and has a view to share ?

I have Valcona (standard on SuperSport Seats) and while it is lovely to look at and feel it is very soft!
Driver seat is showing signs of wear in the central quilted seat area after 2000 miles!!!

Valcona all the way, looks classier feels nicer and after 30k looks like new. Milan will surface wear resulting in the bobbles wearing smooth. My friend has it in her 6 series and it looked tatty after 5k.

I have the half leather/alcantra on my MY16 S line and it looks great IMHO. Try to find one with this at a dealership and see what you think!

I would rank it as Valcona > alcantara > Milano.

The Valcona is a significant step up and feels like soft leather should, whereas Milano is harder and more plastic like, akin to standard BMW leather

I think the problem with any of the all-leather options is it can look a little staid, particularly in black in the S-line with the black headlining. The alcantra breaks it up a bit and given it is the same cost as the valcona, should give you an idea of the quality of the materials used.

A lot of this is personal choice. I don't like the look of alcantara at all, I think it feels cheap. I know it's not, but that is my opinion and if you are like me, I don't care what other people think as long as I like what I have chosen. So try to go and have a look at your local dealership.

The alcantara can be nice as it compliments the door inserts that are standard in alcantara... Feels nice too under-bum. Grippy

Are the door inserts Alcantara irrespective of trim level ? I will be choosing the SE Executive trim.

Unsure actually. They were on all cars I've been in but I've not been in the SE. Check out the Audi Car Configurator...
