    Hi All,

I had an A5 on loan yesterday while the car was in for the MMI update, and noticed that its nav system had lane guidance images appear when approaching a fork in the road, or roundabout. Much like tom toms do.

I'm pretty sure I went through all the navigation options available when I first got the car, and can't remember anything offering that.

Does anyone know if it's a feature of the A6 (FL + Tech Pack) system, and what is needed to enable it?

Seems strange that the older and lesser specced system would have it, but the newer one not.

    Cheers

I can see it in the display between the dials. Once you switch to the Nav tab, it becomes a display option when you press the menu button on the steering wheel.

It is quite useful and I keep it on when going to an unknown place.

This is there mate, think you need to activate autozoom for intersection.

Now hopefully you can probably help me, i've just had my car in for the MMI update to be told there is no update. would you be able to let me have the version number or maybe a screen shot of the version.

    cheers

Funnily enough I took pics of my screen today having just worked out that I can view street view on my screen (when stationary)
Not sure if this is what you need but my software version:

    Thanks for the replies.
Didn't know about the option for the dash screen, will play later, however I don't tend to display the maps there too often, preferring Speed or Economy info.

Intersection zoom just zooms the map to the junction? The A5 had a layer on top of that with a basic image of the intersection and where you need to be. When needed, it replaces the journey info list on the left (that shows the next 3 events) if you have it enabled.

    Software Version
    MHI2_ER_AU57x_K2519_2

    Navigation Database Full Version
V03959801FA 0134 ECE 2016 (although I am currently downloading the 16/17 maps to install on the way home)

The task was "9102 Workshop Action" to update the MMI according to the invoice , I wonder if there is anywhere that shows what the updates included.

I've no idea if this image will post but it's the kind of thing I'm trying to explain - the road and lane layout that appears on the left when required.
2015 (FL) A6 Avant BE 2.0 Ultra S-Tronic in Daytona - 19" Wheels (makes it £30 VED), Tech Pack, Parking Pack, Matrix Lights, Storage Pack, Advanced Key, and maybe some other things I can't remember

I Have what you want, it shows the lanes you should be in for the upcoming junction. i doesn't show quite like the picture you posted but similar. I'll go out for a drive soon and get an image if i can.

Thanks for the software version info.

I certainly have that view on the standard SD card based system. I think there is an option to turn it on and off and will look when I get back to the car later

I just checked mine, it seems you're right, its not there on the MMI screen, just in street view of the DIS. I definitely had it on the SD Nav. Seems there's no option to turn it on.
