I had the work done by a friend who claims that the correct torque settings were set on the tensioner bolts. I 90% believe him, he has the tools to do that so not sure why he wouldn't use them if he didn't have them.

I haven't had the engined timed back up yet but I think it's almost certain that the engine is going to be scrap. In that scenario, what is the likelyhood of getting any kind of compensation from the supplier of the tensioner or the company that manufacture the tensioner?

Is there any advice on what to do at this point?
