I know we have a sticky for central locking problems but I haven't been able to resolve my issue by using it.
Had the car for a couple of years. Central locking was always a bit lazy in operation - buttons lifted slowly - but recently needed more presses of the remote control to get it to work. I decided to replace the batteries in the remote control with a new set. Now the central locking doesn't work at all. The remote is recognised by the car as the indicator lights flash when I press it and it sets the immobiliser but it won't lock/unlock. I followed the instructions in the manual for reassigning it to the car but it won't operate the locks. I have the complete set original keys so I have a spare key - this won't operate the central locking either. Also I noticed the boot lid won't lock and the key won't turn in the barrel. Is the boot lid stopping the central locking or is the central locking stopping the boot lid or is it a key issue????? HELP!
