I've been driving the Q7 for 7 months now and ridiculous like it sounds last week I discovered the most amazing thing about the Q7. The car lives in dynamic mode and I though that was the sport mode, it's quick but a little to quick to move up the gear box... then by accident I pulled the gear selector down while in drive and discovered the real sports mode. OMG it's a totally different car! The dash cam g sensor is constantly complaining every time I push the accelerator. I find I slow down to miss the green lights as the wait is worth it!

It’s great fun in dynamic dynamic ... a little scary that a car of the size and bulk can do what it can...I can only imagine what the SQ is like

If you want to have even more fun install the pedalbox or sprintbooster. It changes the sensitivity and characteristics of the acceleration pedal without any interference in ECU. It has 3 different modes plus standard. This is the type of gadget which installed once makes you addicted to it. I had it in my previous Q7 and I have it in my new.
It is plug&play (1o min to install it max) and you can use it in the new car with the same platform (MBL in Audi case).

When I change to dynamic mode my car automatic change the gearbox from D to S.
Is there any S+ modes i don't know about?

I’m guessing that if you leave it in Dynamic all the time then you probably end up in D at point re after restart? Mine goes to S initially too but does keep revs very high for fun!
If you’re desperate for an S+ trade in for SQ7! :-)

Do you know you can push the gear-lever to the left and change gear by pushing the lever forwards for up and backwards for down?

It feels more natural than using the paddles on the steering wheel.

    Found it!

    - ensured car temps up to normal
    - find safe quiet road!
    - stop the car with steering straight
    - put the car in dynamic mode with sport mode auto
    - press and hold the esp button for about 5 seconds (two stages)
    - press the brake peddle hard and keep it pressed
    - floor the accelerator and the engine will Rev but not into the red
    - release the brake and keep accelerator pinned!
