I currently need new pads and discs on front.
Thinking about getting engine remapped too.

Question is, should I get better than OE break pads and discs if I remap or will new OE ones be fine?

Preferable , I always have , remap , uprated suspension , plus sized wheels /tyres , brakes and exhaust .

Plain Brembo or Pagid discs with upgraded EBC Redstuff pads are my fave , low dust too .

No, not unless you want more than fast road use.
