Audi A4 1.8t coolant leak

Have a leak from a rubber hose at the front of the engine. Car is a 02 A4 1.8t AVJ engine.
Tracked it down to the turbo coolant return pipe. Hole in the rubber section. P/n 06B 121 497C. See below

Just ordered one from main dealer for €100.. Ouch.


Has anyone removed one of these before and how easy is it to get to. TBH it looks a b.itch..


I praying the car doesn't have to go into service position.
Anyone got any experience/tips on this one??

As my neighbour says when I am working on my car - will require a blood sacrifice but if you have no problem with getting your arms scratched I guess you should be fine (though I have a 2.3V6 which should be bigger!). W.

what I want to know can this pipe be replaced without taking out the turbo?
going at it in the morning and would live to know any tips/watch outs first....
