Will 18 inch alloys fit on a tdi se golf mk5 I was thinking about getting mk5 gti alloys (18 inch)

They have the same PCD and centre bore all you'd have to do is check that the offset is the same.

Do you have the current wheel specs and those of the wheels you plan to fit?

I've just messaged the bloke im planning to buy them off, ive just bought this car ive only had it three months and im only 18 so im pretty clueless when it comes to modifying cars haha, if the offset is the same will the wheels not be too be for the wheel arches ive actually got audi 17 inch alloys at the moment, thanks.

before buying them, call your insurance company and see if they are happy with this modification. if they are, look further into it, if they are no, then you can stop. if you did fit these alloys and not tell them , they could use it as an excuse to not pay out in the event of you having a crash. the loss of the car would be one thing, 10 years in jail another, or a bill for several million quid if you happened to kill or cause life changing injuries to someone.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying.

On the back of your current wheels will be various details stamped into the metal. Look for something like 7.5J x 17 ET 51. Once we have that figure and the specs of the wheels you intend to put on there we can give you an answer based in fact rather than wild speculation.

Zollaf's answer may not help you at all, but it is sage advice. When you do bump your car and you've not declared your modifications from standard - 17" Audi alloys are not standard fitment - you'll have your pants pulled down. At 18 I'd imagine your premiums are pretty healthy already
