Headlight dip settings for European driving A6 Avant 2010

My2010 A6 Avant Owners's Manual advises that I must visit dealer to changeover dip settings for Europe. Can anyone advise if this is a VagCom affair or a mechanical lever or similar. Its seems crazy if it is dealer controlled as I need to drive from Scotland on UK roads and then to Greece hopefully not having to go via a dealer in Dover to facilitate the changeover. I suppose I can restrict my UK driving to daytime but how daft is that? Advice from wiser members appreciated.

Ehrrr, yes, sorry. Xenon in A6 Avant Quattro S-Line 3.0 Diesel Estate All-Black Edition. Sorry I should have been more specific.

With xenons on a facelift I believe it can be done with VCDS...but will stand corrected.

My pre FL has levers to change from left to right hand driving, although to get to the darn things can be a PITA, so the software option is easier/quicker.

Defo facelift as it has the LED strips in the headlights, all 58 plates onwards were facelift with 08 being the changeover year (also when DPF's were universally fitted) which is why I went for an 07.
