  1. HELP - AKE engine injector #3 with needle lift sensor needed

    Hi Folks,

I have a 2002 A6 2.5tdi and after doing the Cambelt I've discovered that my needle lift sensor on injector #3 has given up the ghost and I can't adjust the timing without getting it sorted.

Audi want over 25% of the car value for one, does anyone have a spare I can buy?

    Please help..... Please......

Hi, try to adjust the pump so the readings in measuring blocks- cold start valve/ advance solenoid is around 95 % at idle ( engine temp over 85 degrees) The ECU uses a sensor in the Injection pump and the Engine speed sensor to figure this out,
    so you might get lucky...

Does anyone have any info on how easy it is to change Injector # 3? Now I have a shiny new one I'm thinking of swapping it myself.....?

    Thanks.

It's fairly tricky to do but you only need to get the left side rocker cover off and you can see the injector to get it off. you need to strip a fair bit down though.

    Good guide here

    http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a4-a4-c...placement.html

I used this when swapping number 5 injector on my BDH. Before you start make sure you have a new rocker cover gasket, copper sealing washer for the injector (dealer, 51p) and new leak-off banjo copper sealing washers (21p, dealer). I wish I'd done my rocker cover gasket at the same time as it'll never seal again properly.
