Same as my wife has. If you turn the right dial it will do the driver (or both if they are synced), left will do passenger. To sync them press the drivers dial in for about 3 seconds.

    Hi all

as you are probably aware, I recently purchased my A5.. 2009 plate 2.0 TFSI petrol I've since done more research on the oil consumption issues this model has.. I've read various information, but before I start panicking.. Can someone assist..

The car had sufficient oil when I bought it around 2 weeks ago.. MMI guage showed empty last week but no oil light came on.. I called the place I bought it from and was advised to top up with 1 ltr, reset trip counter and see how long it lasts to determine if there is a problem or not..

Anyway I checked the trip counter today, I have driven 157 miles and the MMI gauge shows as per below

    image.jpg

Is this normal? I've heard stories about the oil sensors not being very accurate as well as something about the bonnet catch having some kind of connection to this.. Don't really know what to make of this!

    Thanks all

    Jon

Have you got a pool of oil under your car?

Dont' know about the bonnet catch etc but with the VIN number can you not check to see if this car had the pistons / rings changed by Audi, I know a pals 2 litre A4 Avant of same era had to get that done FOC by Audi.

Hey all, to answer your questions:

    1. No pool of oil

    2. I called Audi HQ regarding the Pistons, they said they wouldn't be able to tell me this information

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

Log your oil consumption over the next 1000 miles or so and if you confirm it is burning excessive oil approach Audi to re-piston it. I've read here, that you need to get them to do an oil consumption test as well, sorry don't know much more about getting it done.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and forums in general.

I need some help, I bought a 2013 Audi A5 177bhp S Line 2.0 Tdi Sportback with 95,000 miles just 3 months ago. The car had undergone a full major service and I even changed the fuel filter I'm getting really bad mpg around 26mpg around town and 30pmpg motorway journey, I drive sensible in and around town and on the motorway. How much should I be averaging mpg wise? Is there anything I could to improve the mpg? Thanks in advance!
