Latest Navigation UPDAT

Thinking about updating my navigation for the latest map version at my local dealer , I have google maps, MMI touch etc.

Does the update add differant graphics to the navigation on the Hard Disk / new features , or does it purely update new roads.

I updated the maps recently by downloading them off the Audi website (from 2015 versions to 2016) and I have not seen any difference. Therefore, I would guess that the update is purely for the roads and that I do not drive on roads that are in the update.

Hi,

What is your current maps DB version?

I'm on 6.20.4 which I believe is 2015 maps, I think the latest ones are 6.22.4 assuming these are 2016 maps?

Don't know why but I'm buggered if I can find them on either Audi Uk or GE

They should show as a service in your My Audi pages.
They wouldn't be on the main site, as I imagine each nav system takes different packages, so the My Audi is tailored to your car.

No did look there, I believe you only get a certain number of updates per car and you pay after that

The five free updates (one every 6 months after delivery of the car) only applies to facelift and then only cars with the HD based navigation. All Pre-Facelift and Facelift cars with the SD card based navigation need to either visit the dealer and pay the asking price or take their chances with an alternative source which may or may not work and in the worse case could cause major issues with the MMI system.
