    Hi
Can anybody help I wish to remove the touch adapter as i cant see it without glasses so it is pretty useless to make calls, but i don't need to wear glasses when driving, so my thoughts change radio to rns510, change Bluetooth to 9ws get someone (help) to do a re-coding, hoping then all will work through radio screen (much bigger can see that) and hopefully cluster.

My car is a 2010 Passat highline with white cluster.

I appreciate it will leave a hole in the trim but i will address that later.

I can see the fixings when I remove the glove box but can't see how to remove it also can i just disconnect the wires or do i need to do some joining of wires?

Sorry if non of this makes sense but i am not fully conversant with the car yet.

Is there any reason you can't just leave your glasses on?

If you want to get rid of the Bury unit then here's a firm that does some replacement stuff. Not cheap but, with VCDS coding should give you MFD display that the Bury should be giving you already -- some of the early BT units (under your seat) were only compatible with the rSAP version of Bluetooth. That was only compatible with early Nokia 'phones

Denison Gateway Pro BT offers hands free mobile call handling, and Bluetooth connectivity for music streaming via A2DP. It can be controlled through the radio or steering wheel controls. It can display information on the cluster display (Multi-Function Display (MFD) between the dials. £170 inc VAT inc UPS delivery. See their compatibility chart listings at:
Gateway Pro BT - Bluetooth handsfree kit
Denison also offer DAB add-on units that integrate with many of the VW OEM head units, display the station and other information on the head unit screen. And subject to head unit, on the MFD. See their website for compatibility.

Yes unfortunately only need them for reading, if I do leave them on at least I would be able to call the emergency services when I crash as I wouldn't have a clue beyond the windscreen.

Denison looks good thanks, will look into that, but does anybody know how to remove the touch cradle and do I need to do anything with the wiring?
