Hi everyone! I bought VCDS 15.7.1, instal software, but when I run program and connected Meas. Blocks-08 is unable ( grey color)
Is anything what can Ido with it?

I presume this was in the engine controller? Your car uses UDS language in the engine controller. UDS does not use the 08 Measuring Values. You must use the Advanced Measuring Values button - which I think you will find is not "greyed" out.

You are right Bruce! Why newer cars can use just UDS?

That my friend, will need to be asked of the VAG engineers. Certainly they did not consult us and their UDS shenanigans have made our lives much more complex. Our design staff is as frustrated as it gets when it comes to all the changes we have had to implement with the introduction of UDS in 2009. Those changes have continued in every model year since, making the task of keeping our tool up with all their changes really difficult. When you ask around, some say Ross-Tech is slipping. Well, yeah, we are. Not because we don't make the effort - but because the effort is exponentially more difficult these days.

08 Measuring Values are going to go away we are convinced. New models from VAG will all use UDS. All will require use of the Advance Measuring Values.

Have you looked at the adaptations and all the changes there? How about Basic settings? Output tests? The complexity is daunting.

Know that our guys are working their bottoms off trying to stay current with all the changes. Remember, VAG does nothing to help us. We have to mine the information and then provide it in our tool for all to use - including all the other scan tool manufacturers who use our information to make their tools. We are still the most complete in the aftermarket and still try to have information on current model year. Sure, there a couple who have found a few sources for a platform or two which we have not found. But in the main, Ross-Tech VCDS is still your go to tool if you choose not to use the factory tools.

Without seeing an autoscan that tells us the data from the control module so we might be able to look things up, no, I cannot guess. Post an autoscan from the vehicle and perhaps we can do some research for you.

With UDS, the data is not standardized.
