    looking for some ideas on repainting my wheels
    i have a grey metallic 2010 TDI TDI Le Mans
    just wondering if anyone had painted their wheels a different colour from the usual silver
    just looking to darken them slightly - ANY IDEAS WELCOME

    The anthracite colour would certainly help hide brake dust!

    I have anthracite grey on my standard s line alloys, look very good but brake dust is more of a problem now than when they were standard silver.

    that's a surprise that brake dust is more of a problem with the darker colour????

    Yeah with silver I didn't notice it as much till a few weeks whereas with anthracite you notice it within a week. I've had black alloys and they are good at hiding brake dust.

    I have a couple of before and after pics on my profile for you to compare. Not too clear but you get the idea
    NOW GONE 2007 A6 2.7TDi Avant Le Mans Edition (180)

    Mods:- ECU Remap, Rear Air Suspension, Rear Led Lights, Rear View Camera, Rear Privacy Glass, Titanium wheels, Colour Coded Fog Light Surrounds, FBMFSW, AMI, DAB, Chrome S6 pedals, Front Grille De-chrome, window surround de-chrome.
