    Hi all.

Considering a polo 1.2 petrol match 13plate wifey. Currently own a 06 plate 1.4 polo which has been faultless, but at 81k its getting a bit long in the tooth. Wifey only does about 4k a year if that so has to be petrol.

Does anyone have the above car? Any experiences? good or bad? anything to avoid? engine issues? common problems?

Dont want to buy a newer polo and it turns out to be a money pit considering the old one has been faultless, and know that newer vw cars arent exactly the same build quality as older models.

The proposed car has 1 previous owner, vw service history at 31k miles. Priced at 7k

    Any thoughts advice appreciated.

In all honesty, I would keep your car until it starts costing you money.

It might cost say £100 to £150 to get through a MOT, but that's it if the car is paid off. Normal service charges would be paid anyway in any car you have, and tyres etc.

So if the car is faultless, keep it. Knowing the history of the car is paramount and buying another can lead to problems
