Wow, what a carnage!

Mine is definitely not that bad, only the rubber parts are perishing, the car sailed through the last year's MOT, but my mechanic has recommended to replace the whole front set and the rear C-links, he showed me affected parts on the last oil service. I am not experiencing any symptoms yet, but he said that the car may not get through the next MOT.

Thing is my car was sailing through it's MOT's, but the way I figured to start this work was due to the 200K mileage. Any car that has that sort of mileage in the weather we get in this country, and the rubbish roads we have it all adds up. I would have never found the shock mount, wheel bearing & some of the rust as these parts are hidden so will never get picked up by the MOT. As I said with all the arms in place the movement on each arm using an MOT pry bar was very little, but then you cannot apply the same sort of forces that a 2 ton car generates during breaking, accelerating & cornering.
