Looking to get both of these done, will I need to buy a blanking plate for the EGR in addition to getting the delete worked into the remap?

Seems to be three different designs of plate...any ideas on which is good for the 3.0tdi if indeed its needed at all?

If you're getting the EGR mapped out then you won't need a blanking plate as mapping it out keeps it shut anyway

    True .

But if you can fit a full blank the manifold end of the egr feed pipe it would prevent it filling up unnecessarily with exhaust gasses.

With it remapped out you're wasting £7 (or £4) as nothing will enter the inlet system anyway

It is optional , but a blank at the manifold end if viable prevents any exhaust gasses filling a pointless void that is the egr feed pipe, bit like an extra side branch resonator on an exhaust system .

Anyone have a good pic or technical drawing of egr , feed pipe and exhaust manifold ?

Yes my car too drives without error right now but I want to keep the car for some years, it has done 85K so am thinking preventative medicine. Terraclean then EGR delete with a remap, possible EGR blank and then am thinking should I do anything with swirl flaps to again prevent any issues.

Removing things is not a prevention. Just clean the intake after the EGR Delete. If there is any play in the axle change the flaps or delete them as well.
