Getting to the finer points with my car as it approaches delivery.

I have always had mudguards on my cars (oem and not big flappy ones!) however the A7 is a car I am not quite sure would suit them.

Anyone got any experience of mudguards, good or otherwise, on the A7?

I personally think they would look naff! I've done 30k miles (mainly motorway) and rear panels and paintwork that is in the "throw" of the tyres is still immaculate, so I don't think fitting mudguards would gain you anything.

I recently bought an A7 that had mudguards fitted.....they're coming off when I get the chance. They look naff and seem to scrape a lot of speed bumps if you go a fraction too fast.

I fitted mudguards to my previous SE and they looked OK. They did offer some additional protection for mud/dirt splatters along the sides.

But...my A7 had the Sports suspension and the rear flaps regularly scraped the ground when the car was loaded.

Mud flaps can't be fitted to S-Lines as they do not fit the sill kit profile; thus I've not fitted to my current S-Line.

So in summary - leave them off.

ps - pics added to post below.

Pics of my previous SE with flaps fitted - rear shown. Notice not much ground clearance!

Thanks. I won't be fitting them!

With my XF I was told you couldn't fit guards to the S - but you can - and they look fine and are quite subtle things.

I concur the don't really suit the A7 and mine will be an S Line and I don't want to scrape along the road!
