Hi newbie here thanks for looking please can you help

My driver door window never worked from I bought the car (fantastic car that it is) I stripped down the interior and exterior panels by help from this forum or one alike for a how to guide.

Anyway water had gotten into the regulator motor and control module which has frazzled the circuitary. Rust galore over the contacts to the motor and over the PCB

Any how I have salvaged 2 window motor regulators from a scrap golf but they have different serial numbers than the original i have in the car.

I have used VCDS to program the new control module but it doesnt want to work.

    The VCDS has read the original number to be 1K0 959 701 E - tuersteuergeraet 09 0116

    The new(ish) number is 1k0 959 701 M - Tuer SG 005 0984

I have followed the coding steps in the below forum which is the same as the ross tech page but there is no operation what so ever.

VWVortex.com - Mk V Door Electrics Info Thread (w/ Part Numbers)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am at my wits end

    Thanks for reading

    Welcome to VWAF

Stupid questions first, do you know that the replacement regulators were fully functioning?

You mentioned the driver side one wasn't working, but then you go on to say you bought two replacements. Are both failing to work?

Have a skim of this thread too; https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...oding-Golf-MK5 - lots of useful info in it that should help you.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

hi Sam thanks for getting back to me

I replaced the passager window regulator yesterday and tested the two new motor modules from the driver side and both worked fine.

I am using the original passanger module and it works from the drivers side with the original module.

I thought because they have different serial numbers and software versions that they need reprogrammed to the car in some way.

I am at a lose I might just have to reinstall the old one and put up with it only raising and lowering the window in small increments
