Had this window regulator issue a year or so ago and was told by many, absolutely dont bother with the £20 kits.
I bought genuine at around £75-80, not because I am minted but because my local garage, and a close friend, told me he had just used a kit for a customer, against his better judgement, and it failed in around 3 months.
I used genuine and she is still good.2002 v6 cabriolet

Go for the kit for the window regulator as already said. Best do it right first time than have it break again soon.

clean and maintain the roof with autoglym cabriolet fabric hood cleaning kit either from eBay or halfords. It comes with a sponge but I find that using a medium stiff scrubbing brush is much better. Make sure you get into every crease and fold and depending on condition maybe clean it twice. Then use the proofing spray but be careful not to get it on the Windows cos it's a bugger to get off.
Also make sure you clean all of the drain gullies around the roof (eg. Down the front window pillars). If they get blocked up you'll get leakage.

    Welcome to the cab club!
