VW SV/SE (September 2014) front seats

Is it possible to retrofit VW sports front seats to the SE version? The black cloth fabrics are very similar and I would expect the seat mountings to be the same. I have a spinal problem and find the SE seats not supportive enough.

My previous car was a SEAT ALTEA 2.0FSi sport with really comfortable seats! Any advice appreciated.

All things are possible, but it could be a very expensive change I'd have thought. Can you add some more support to the seat back with an add-on panel perhaps? Or could a custom seat upholsterer add more support to the existing seats? Would you be happy with Alcantara seats in the front and the SE seats in the back still?

The SE fabrics & Sport are not too different but, as you say, they would not be an exact match with the rear seats. Not a major issue as car would be kept (with new OK seats) for many years.
It may be an expensive change but a lot cheaper than having to change the car for another model. My previous car seats were really comfortable and I miss them!
I'm seriously considering the option of changing to another model but cost c. £10k!
Thanks for suggesting specialist seat upholsters though I don't think there are any in Shropshire. Any specialist upholsterers with a solution who are reading this please post any suggestions and your location. I would be happy to examine this option!!!

I've no experience of using specialist seat upholsterers, but should think your best choice would be in Birmingham or the West Midlands. Perhaps a Google search might help?

We do go to Birmingham fairly often and I will try a Google search as suggested. Certainly having watched "Wheeler Dealers" use specialists I have been amazed at just what the good ones can do!

The only problem I can see is whether they could get extra VW matching material to alter the seat profiles with wider side supports. Time will tell I'll try to find someone from Google and see what they say.

Otherwise I think I will look at a change of car maybe to a VW hatch/estate with sports seats or even the smaller AUDI A3 Sportback.
