Just bought a new s3 8v in daytona grey with pearlescent paintwork which the dealer said didn't need to be polished??. I've wrapped it to make it look black edition and remapped it with apr stage 1 so gets 365bhp!!!!!!!!! too fast for a 2lr hatchback...
anyway, i don't really want to wrap the whole car so was wondering if there were any products, simple stuff preferably, that would help protect against things like stone chips or bird s**t for e.g.? stone chips probabaly a stretch too far but you know what i mean...

Look for one of the sealant type coatings. Gtechniq have one out which has a 7 year warranty I think. Needs to be applied by a professional so they would probably polish it and apply the sealant. The others can be self applied but need to be cured or left dry for 24 hours.
