    i have a volkswagen sharan diesel 1.8tdi year 2010.
ocassionally the battery is completely flat in the morning but the problem is getting worse of late.
i have measured a current drain of approx 1 amp with a current meter when the car is switched off, all doors closed, lights off etc. ( the car can be off for 2 or 3 hours)
there is a constant drain of approx 1 amp.
i have tried the following but there is still a 1 amp current drain
1)All interior lights and glove compartment lights are working and switched off and doors are closed
    2) disconnected the altenator and starter motor
    3) pulled out every fuse one at a time in the fuse box under the steering wheel
    4) disconnected the 4 door harness by removing the connectors at the doors
    5) i checked the loom
    6) disconnected the radiator fan

in the fuse box beside the battery i located the current drain going to the black cable on the 2nd fuse. This is a 110amp fuse. when i disconnect this fuse the dash is dead no ignitation or lights etc.
is it possible to get a wiring diagriam or can anybody help me where to check next

    many thanks

I had a similar problem on my Touran, it had the dealer quite confused. After several weeks new battery etc it turned out to be the radio or should I say cd player which continued to spin the cd all the time, that is when the fun started, the first unit arrived right box wrong radio, then the second the same and the third, many days between each one whilst stock was being checked, then one came from Germany same problem, then one came from the radio manufacturer. Success!!! car was second hand bought from main agent who was able to supply a service car during the several weeks it was away. in the still of the night have listen in the car spinning cds don't make a lot of noise oh and if it has a multi changer check each one.

You do know the drivers door loom is known to break.
This can cause all sorts of problems.
    Central locking/interior light problems.
