A6 C7 2011 - MMI has two SD card slots, the first one is used for navigation sd card and the second for music files. I have problem with the second one because sometimes it doesn't read the sd card. Bought 2 new sd cards and tried to get it working but no luck. Is there a way to clean/replace the sd card slot? Video tutorial? Thank you.

SD card is 16GB. It works fine in the SD slot no.1 so I assume the card is OK.

Sounds to me that the contacts on the reader are dirty or contaminated in some way, condensation etc can cause this. You could try gently cleaning them. Use one of those little dental floss brushes, obviously needs to reach the depth of the card. Put on it a small amount of IPA, probably needs to be mixed with a little water to stop it drying too quick, rotate it whilst inserting carefully into the slot. Give it a minute or so to dry off, then try the card.

Hope this works for you, there will certainly be no harm done and nothing to loose providing the IPA is pure. You could try some electrical contact cleaner spray in the same way, it's essentially IPA solution. Don't use brake cleaner solution, it'll melt the plastic.

This got me thinking... I sometimes play MMC cards (hoo). Old technology with smaller capacity than SD, but also thinner.

Perhaps that presents an opportunity to wrap a loop of thin ribbon around it before insertion. Anything non-conductive that can be wetted with the IPA really. The contacts on these cards are flush i.e. not recessed like those on an SD card. Think laterally for an alternative to the ribbon or indeed the thinner MMC card.

Update: I've just lit my fire and a box of Cook's Matches has a mildly abrasive strip and is damn close to the width of an SD card. Only saying because the previous post made me think of wet vs dry methods of cleaning tape heads in the old days.
I'd make sure the power was off, and I'd try that before resorting to something like your wife or girlfriend's Emery board
