    Hi

I have a '03 passat estate 1.9TDI 130bhp. It has 2 12v sockets in the boot. My wife plugged a faulty PA amp into the rear most of them with the result that it is no longer live. The inner of the two is fine.

I have pulled the wiring plugs off the back of the sockets and found that the rear most one has no 12v feed, other is ok.

I guess a fuse has gone somewhere, anyone know where these fuses are? They are NOT in amongst the rest on the side of the dash, or at least I can't find them! Handbook makes no reference to fuses for these sockets.

Local VW dealer 'is unable to provide information requested!'

    Can anyone help?

    Cheers

    John

    Hi

    Found the little blighters!

If you remove the lower half of the dash above the pedals, you will find two 20A (Yellow) fuses along the bottom edge below the relays that are hidden there.

On my MY '03 estate the left hand fuse supplies the rear most socket, and the right hand one does the next one in.

After two days, still no answer from VW!

    Oh well, all sorted.

I'm surprised they are wired and fused seperately! I imagined they would be just connected together at the back!

    Hi

    According to VW:

Following your recent call to the Customer Service Centre regarding the location of the fuses for rear accessories in your vehicle, I am pleased to confirm that they are located on top of the relay plate under the dashboard, on the driver's side.

Actually they are on the bottom edge of the relay plate......

Do VW make the Passat???? I wonder
