I want to change the lights on my 2007 C6 with something with a crisper light.

Researching I understand that alot of people will use the Osrams and Phillips. However what is the difference between nightbreaker and the standard osram/phillips bulbs?

Here is the list I intend to get

    H1 - Main - 2x H1 [448] 55w OSRAM +90% Night Breaker Plus Headlight Bulbs 12v [64150NBP]: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike
    H7 - Dipped - NEW Osram Night Breaker PLUS H7 499 +90% 12v 55w + Free 501 Extreme Sidelights: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike
    H11 - Fogs - NEW Osram Night Breaker PLUS H11 +90% 12v 55w + Free 501 Extreme White Sidelights: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike
501 - (sides?) - 2x T10 501 W5W 9 SMD LED XENON WHITE NO ERROR FREE CANBUS SIDELIGHTS BULBS: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike (will I need these if the offer of the above comes with 501's?)

Here is another site and prices are alot higher here - AUDI A6 / A6 AVANT (2005 - 2008) Car Headlight Bulbs | PowerBulbs

    Total spend = £65 - Amazon, £50 ebay sourced

I plan to upgrade the lights on a sunny afternoon so no real rush in fitting them. But welcome the advice on osram vs phillips as I know some have gotten good use, whereas some have had blown bulbs and having to replace them more often.

Hi there, I was in your position a few years back and asked the same questions.
I heard so many different stories about the Osram / Phillips 50%+ 90% etc etc and so I wasn't sure

I had a few eyars earlier upgraded my X type Jag with Sportzblue 80w bulbs by Ring and knew they worked, so
I opted for those again, as per the link below to my thread

Definitive how to for Led's interior / exterior

Been in for around 3 years now and only ever had one blown bulb, and very usable bright white light wth a very
slight bluish tinge ( HID effect )

I've never been flashed, no foglights in my face and they've passed 3 mot's now, so I'm all good

I'll follow your thread with interest and see how you get on, hopefully before and after pics with a
    full write up

    Good luck

Never touched my fogs but looks like it from the outside. Am considering some H7 LED bulbs for my fogs to match my demons and LED sidelights and DRLs.

I dont know about if I have it the wrong way round.

Possibly. Im tempted to just use LED DRL instead of the DRL as I dislike the yellow hew it gives out. Also looks a pain to change the older bulbs?

Thanks for the words of advice. Will give it a go next month once I get more feedback.

I have a pre-facelift car with xenons and the yellow halogen DRLs where the main beam would be on non-xenon cars. I changed my standard 21w bulbs for LED canbus items - very pleased with the result. Gotta be easier than wiring in new lights, even if changing a bulb is a challenge in itself - but if you're considering installing new lights yourself a bulb change should be easy....!

I bought Osrams same as you mentioned above in H7 and H1 for the dip and High beam and got LED sidelights, all in all £30 from amazon. Planning to get H7 LEDs for Fog lights as theyre H7s not H11s.

Osrams are good, give out a lot more light than standards and its a bit whiter than before but I think it does dazzle the road users probly going over bumps etc as they are quite bright but they are still perfectly legal. Was driving behind a police car today morning with the lights on. Im sure they would have pulled me over if it was dazzling them through the rear view mirror.

    Hope this helps.

Anything up to 58 reg so yours is pre facelift like my 07.

Search for P21W canbus LED. I think mine were from auto bulbs direct.

For these LED are they also the same that fit in the downlights (shining down from open door) and license plate area too?
