hi can any one tell me if a mk6 parcel shelf will fit a mk5? and hasanyone got one for sale?

2 door or 4 door as even in Mk5 guise alone they have different part numbers. 1J3867762C or 1J3867762D for a 2006 Mk5 2 door and 1J4867762C or 1J4867762D for a 2006 Mk5 4 door for example.

The Mk6 luggage compartment shelf 1K6867769 is very similar to the Mk5 whereas the Mk7 version is a different shape with small outcrops on the front edge (Mk7 version will not fit its predecessors). Some selling the Mk6 version often declare it as Mk5/Mk6 but then list compatibility up to MY2008 only! There are quite a few Mk6 rear shelves on Fleabay from £59 upwards.
