Golf 1994 knocking sound at the rear

Hi everybody, I own a 94 golf since a few months, I have a loud knocking sound at the rear when I hit a hole or a crack on the road, mostly on the left side, the chocks absorber are brand new, any idea? Help...

Bushings are worn

ive got a similar problem, but its on the drivers side, and it knocks over any bump, and its like a metal on metal noise, i changed the shocks, bushes and i played about with the exhaust
what else could it be?
