Just thought Id offer the loan of a tool I made to help remove the crankshaft pulley on the 5 cyl LT35 engine.
I made this when I needed to remove the pulley for cambelt replace (in fact head had to be removed as belt snapped).

Tool I made fits into the pulley and engages the locking tab, the other end presses against the ground, the socket fits down the middle of the tool allowing the bolt to be removed while holding the pulley still.
Its made out of scaffolding pole, so nothing sophisticated - but worked a treat.

If you're in the Southampton/Winchester area you're welcome to borrow.
