No heat from centre dash vents or windscreen

Hi, firstly I apologise if I have posted in wrong section....
Please help. I have 2005 Tdi sline
I had problem with water building up around fuse box. (By wipers).
Anyway car working again now. (Took it to garage). My problem is I don't have hot or cold air blowing from centre dash vents or onto windscreen.
Heaters were fine before issue with water in fuse box.
Any ideas or suggestions welcome..

On slightly different subject, I Still need to replace 461 relay. Can someone tell me what it does? I thought it was for glow plugs, but still have glow plug light on dashboard which goes off after a few seconds

Another quick question.. I don't know what garage have done to car but when I push brake pedal, I hear noise which sounds like a spring making a quiet ping noise??

Firstly is your blower working! if it is take out the glovebox and check the operation of the green lever for the demister,second if your plenum has been flooded possibly water ingress in the servo,thirdly the glowplug light will go out after a few seconds!if the car starts ok well leave it.

My blowers work, my centre dash vents are opening now...just the demister which isn't opening...I don't know how much damage the water around fuse box actually did.
I.E (don't know if any water got in the heaters/blowers atall). They worked fine until this happened.
(There has been no sign of water in the car, footwells and around dash dry).

With regards to the glow plugs..how can I test them, to make sure they are working correctly?
And what does relay 461 actually do? As I am driving the car without it at the moment. Until I get a replacement.

Sounds like you have a jammed flap motor.
Check with VCDS in basic settings or remove the glovebox and check the lever.
The motors can be removed and opened to grease the gears.
There is a "how to" on here somewhere.

461 is the glowplug relay,just replace, best way to test is wait for some cold weather see if it struggles,otherwise it involves taking the rocker cover off.
