    Hello all

The other half was driving the car this morning and while on a dual carriageway at 70, she says the ABS light came on and the coil came on and it was flashing, all acceleration lost and the car wont rev, just sits at idle and pulls along at about 10mph, luckily She rang and I told her to turn the car off and on which solved the problem and got her home, anyway plugged in VCDS when she got in and pulled the following codes out, I know I can ignore the imobilisor and the sterio codes but the other two I would Love some info on thanks in advance

I guess the problem is: P-1639 Accelerator Position Sensor. Start by checking\clean the electrical connections. Delete all of the fault codes and do a test drive and check which fault code returns

This is often due to water getting into the ECU box and causing corrosion to the plug terminals below the ECU. This is a Superb but it is much the same, you can see the damage to the pin in the orange plug.
