    Hello,

I have A6 C5 1.9tdi Final Edition with RNS-E. I recently had problems with CCM - boot kept unlocking when i switch off headlights. I tried to check for fault codes in central locking module, but I couldn't connect to it. Same with Radio. No problems to connect to Engine, Airbags or Instruments. So i decided CCM was faulty due to water insgress through the pollen filter. I check wiring and it looks ok. I bought second hand CCM with the same part number, but still can't connect to CCM or Radio.

I tested K1 and K2 with VCDS and no problems there. I don't have problems with VCDS with other cars.

Any idea where to start looking for the problem?

I'm no wizz with diagnostics but I had to do something like 'change latency of port' in Windows xp before vcds would speak to the hvac controller. Please don't ask what that means, I've no idea, just followed some faq on Ross tech site.
Incedentally, no amount of fiddling will allow me to scan my ccm, which has had much of the connector wiring replaced in the past and has definitely been the victim of flooded foot wells, sorry not much help, may be more trouble shooting info on Ross tech?
