Ah well, had to happen at some point sooner or later, nearly time to say goodbye to the A6 after three years and nearly 120k. Will be ordering the new car tomorrow and going for Superb 4x4 DSG.

A6 has never let me down and only had fuel flap replaced when it was in getting serviced. Only costs have been 4 summer tyres and two winters, a set of brake pads, wiper blades, polish and the excess for four replacement windscreens. Fuel wise car has averaged 42mpg over the three years with a best of 54mpg and the worst at 19mpg.

Fully serviced by Audi Birmingham who I can't fault, anyone looking for a well cared for example, keep an eye in the auctions. This along with my Saab 9-3 will be the only second car that I am really going to miss.

Be interesting to see how the Skoda compares with the Audi as a car and the experience of being a private high miler.

Apologies, it's not DTD but orange wheels. My wife is due a new car next April so been looking at the new A4, an S3 and had a look at the A6 out of interest(since it is now available with Quattro which she would like). Couldn't believe it when I put in A6 Avant 2.0 tdi quattro s line s tronic. £30k with no options. Good discounts on the base A7 as well.

Yeah I was, came down to Alltrack, A6 & Superb but VW dealership was messing me around and got bored of chasing them. Superb has that bit more space in the rear as I am "6,4" and little ones still in car seats plus the saving over another A6 means I can possibly order a custom Trek full suspension next year
