Hey guys I'm a new user and I need your help , I drive a 2006 Passat b6 1.6 fsi and I'm having an issue with my passenger side rear door. Ive read a few similar posts about mechanical issues with passat doors but i think mine is a problem with the central locking. When I unlock the car with the key fob all doors unlock except for this door. I'll try to open it and it will stay locked. I can open this door by using the internal door handle and once I do this the outside handle will work until the car is locked again. Any ideas ? im assuming its something to do with the central locking motor ? also is this an expensive fix ? Thanks in advance for your help

Could be the door loom, bad connectors on the loom or the door lock module.

A VCDS scan would be useful to see if their are any fault codes stored.

I appreciate the reply , it seems a lot of passats have had similar issues. I'll get it to a garage and get them to check for fault codes and possible issues with the looms. Thanks for your help , I just wanted to see if it was something I could tackle myself.

Got it fixed at the dealership the other day , had a warranty with the car ( 3 months or 3000 km ) and it was just about still valid ! Turns out it was a lock motor issue so that was replaced free of charge
