Audi A3 2.0 tdi (bkd) issues help needed please👍

Hi, many thanks I'll have to try and syphon it out as I don't have this kind of software... Part is now orderd and on its way, I got a fuel filter ready...
Is there any guide or special tools needed to change tandem pump..?

Hi, update for you all,
new tandem pump fitted, drained fuel, 2 fresh tank fulls, 2 filter changes, 2x redex diesel treatment,
iddling not as ruff as it use to still feel a judder/miss but half as bad as it use to be...
no faults I have use of vcds on weekends,
im lost on this fault now...
any other ideas much appreciated,

What did the fuel filter look like last time you changed it?

Last filter change was like new, (didn't really have to change, only did because I had a new 1 there)
will be checking it again the weekend to ensure the diesel has all stayed clean...

Try running it on a couple of tanks of V Power. It has worked on for me a few cars that have had contamination. Try some stronger injector cleaner such as Red Line.

Hi, I only use bp premium which is the same as shell v power,
and I have put a full fortea diesel treatment through (industrial)

and nothing has changed so far��

It needs the injector balances and status values studying now to see if there are any clues there. Has the valve timing been checked by plate and pin?

Neither above have been checked / adjusted...
and no idea how to check / adjust either...
will it need to be booked in or can I do that myself?

sorry about all these questions, I'm lost with this one, and I have no big money to book it in garage to sort it ...

You need a diagnostic computer system such as a registered copy VCDS so the live data from the ECU can be viewed, this allows the correction values of the injectors and their status figures to be checked plus the accuracy of the valve timing can be assessed but real this is best done with the correct crank locking plate and cam locking pin. You either need to buy/borrow the tools or get someone with the tools to do it for you.
