Engine Noise on Start Up

Hello All - I am having a issue when starting my 2011 A6 3.0 TDI it is making rattle noise, please see the video attached to this thread.

I am hoping someone may know whats causing this or someone has had this issue and resolved it.

I have taken the car to Audi who have said they have contact the audi technical and they are aware of this issue but dont know what is causing it. Once they have figured out whats causing the issue they will then call me to get my car fixed. Im a bit suprised that they dont know whats the issue after only owning the car for 4 months now which i purchased from audi.

Possibly Dual mass flywheel. Is it manual?

No it is Automatic - Theres no shaking or anything and it really only happens when the engine is cold.

Audi said they looking into it and will ge back to me .

My 2012 3.0 TDi Quattro is making the same noise, I've only just noticed it.

Yeah Audi did say to me the other day they have a few people who have came in about the same issue. I will keep you updated when audi ring me to fix this problem.
