Audi A4 2006 Balance Shaft Assembly Torque Values

Hey Guys,

I hope one of you can help. I had the dreaded 'LOW OIL PRESSURE' warning a few weeks ago and so the car was stripped down and the issue was investigated.

The issue was confirmed to be with the hex shaft in the end of the balance shaft drive. I therefore stripped the balance shaft assembly down, removed the faulty shaft and sent it away for repair.

The repaired shaft arrived yesterday and so I have spent today thoroughly cleaning, oiling and reassembling the balance shaft assembly with the new balance shaft and this is where my issue lies.

I want to assemble the unit properly as I don't want are reoccurring issues in a year or so, due to the assembly being assembled too tightly and here lies the issue. I have trawled through all of the forums, the interweb etc and I can not find anything, anywhere that gives the torque values to reassemble the balance shaft assembly. I have all of the details to assemble the unit back onto the bottom of the car, but nothing with regards to the balance shaft assembly itself.

Does anyone out there have this information that will allow me to finish off the work and get my car back on the road as this issue is kind of holding everything up at the moment.

Hi did you find balance shaft torque settings i have same problem cand find any where. Tanks
