    Hi folks
I just got my 272 a few days ago and the fuel light has came on. I only managed to put around 60 litres in where as my old 190 ultra I could squeeze almost 70 in with the light on.
Has the 272 got a smaller tank?

When I specced my car, I went for the optional 75l tank. The standard one was 65l. You may have the 65l one but if you input your codes on one of the online code readers it will tell you.

Also if you look in the brochure and possibly in the manual?

Think all facelift cars come with a 72 litre tank and there is no longer an option to go for a larger tank. On the basis the warning light comes on with about 50 miles to go that equates to somewhere around 6-8 litres so getting 60 litres in seems reasonable, especially if the cut off on the dispenser was particularly sensitive.

    Thanks for the replies
Was thinking back that the fl didn't have an option for larger tank otherwise I would have picked it. Just wasn't sure if the tank was gonna be smaller as in theory the adblue usage should be higher as the 3.0 uses more fuel.
Will see how I get on with a full tank to make the comparison.

I really don't understand why a bigger fuel tank is an optional extra?
I mean I know it's an Audi so you should count yourself lucky to get 4 wheels without having to tick an option, but seriously? A bigger fuel tank? Who on earth wouldn't want the bigger fuel tank?! You don't even need to brim it if you're short on cash! The biggest tank should be included as standard.

It's probably to do with fuel economy. Smaller tank less weight and better acceleration.
It will be another scandal coming. Folk who spec the 75 litre tank causes more pollution

I do several trips a year to the South of France, means I can do the whole trip down without needing to refuel on the motorway (mucho dineros) and still have enough left to see me through the weekend. It was only a hundred squids and I reckon it's worth it.

Exactly. I imagine every A6 driver would have the bigger tank if they could!
