    Hi does anyone know what version of ross tech vcds I can use on a tablet with windows 8

    Any genuine RT interface will work on a win8 tablet as long as it has a usb port and proper x86 or x64 CPU.

    What version of Windows is the tablet running, VCDS won't work on Windows RT.

    If it's a Surface Pro, it will be running 'full fat' Windows 8.1, when they work, they're fantastic pieces of kit.
    Nothing to see here, move along..

    Windows 7 is known as Release 6.1 NT

    Tap Start, long press Computer, select properties and find the version of Windows there.
