The broker has double checked with the dealer who says that all 6XE gives you is the function to fold the mirrors manually (i.e. they still fold electrically but you need to turn the knob on the door above the armrest each time to fold and unfold them). He goes on to say that option 6XF folds automatically but you can only order this in conjunction with electric seats (which I am not getting).
Can anyone with a facelift car and option 6XE let me know whether or not the mirrors do fold automatically when you lock the car. If they don't then to my mind it represents a sneaky downgrade of an option by Audi.
I will still go for this option as it is not expensive and better than nothing.
Many thanks in advance for any help with this.
I have a Facelift car on test, and it has folding mirrors and manual seats. I will take a look at the sticker in the spare wheel well and check the option codes for the car...
Edit. Yep - I just checked - this car has 6XE:

The mirror knob is set to the normal adjust position for the driver's mirror (not to the "fold" position at the bottom) and the mirrors move to this position automatically when the car locks:

This is a 15-plate 2.0 TDi Ultra s-Tronic s-Line without electric seats.
