I was parked up next to another a6 at work today and noticed that the other a6 had large vented rear brakes. Are these standard on the quattros Or faster a6s?
Mine just got the standard solid mini discs at the back but it's just a 190ultra
They look much better with the big discs and open type alloys.

The car may have been a BiTDi. They have the huge S6 brakes as standard.
A6 Bi Turbo (320PS) Black Edition, Techno pack, Matrix lights, heavy right shoe. Sept 2015.

The larger engine petrol and diesel A6 have bigger brakes than the smaller engine versions.

    Yes.

Not quite. The S6 has even bigger 400mm Brembo 6piston calipers (and the same size in carbon ceramic if you tick the option). And the RS6 has even bigger at 420mm IIRC (again traditional or carbon ceramic depending on options).

No red calipers must be a 2016MY cars even though mine is meant to be the updated facelift.
Not a biggy wasn't expecting it anyway.

It may well just have been a mistake in the configurator. There's nothing written down about it (that i know of).

Ours will be 2016MY, but sometimes they make small tweaks to spec.
